makeup

i saw this post on thebeautydepartment.com a while ago and pinned it right away. how many times have you dropped your makeup? it's so annoying! i knew sooner than later i would need this tutorial.

i ended up needing it sooner rather than later.

i don't even know what happened to this mac eye shadow, but one day i opened it and it looked like this.

i tried out the tutorial, and now it looks like this. i think i used a little too much rubbing alcohol, but it worked really well. definitely using this again.

color matching with paint chips

most people have probably seen this pin floating around pinterest.

i have seen it a few times and wanted to make it but never did. i finally got all the stuff (paint chips from home depot and clothes pins from the craft store) last weekend but ran out of time to actually make it. i wanted to take some down to vegas with me so instead of packing at 10:30 the night before a 6:00am flight, i was crafting. it's a way easy craft project. i kind of followed this tutorial except i used a glue gun because that's basically all i ever use.

Doily Cards

somehow this post got a little forgotten about last week

I saw these on pinterest forever ago and have been dying to make them ever since. Brianna and I finally made them last night. They are so easy and cute. Literally anyone can make these. We added chalk to some, and those are my favorite.

Maxi Dress

ever since i saw this maxi dress post, i have been dying literally dying to make it. it looked so easy, and it really is. katy at http://sweet-verbena.blogspot.com is one of my favorite crafty bloggers. her tutorials are so easy to follow. this dress really is so easy and anyone can make it. all you need is 2 yards of white jersey knit fabric, thread, and rit dye in your color of choice. celsey and i added sewing to our monday night tradition, and michelle joined us. we sewed 3 dresses, ate dinner, and watched the bach. i'm already dying to make another one...this time shorter to wear with leggings. what color should i do and who wants to make one with me?

i LOVE rit dye although i felt a little like the jolly green giant wearing it
