Thank you sugardoodle for helping me with my young women lessons. I wish I had more time to be as crafty as I would like to be, but for now I am glad there is something to get me started. I taught a lesson on Sunday about reaching out to others and being a light. The website had this handout. I added an orange border and tied it to a candle....pretty simple.

Church Lesson Handout
Last week's lesson in Young Women was about self-reliance. We talked about James E Talmage's parable of the unwise bee. I got this author unknown quote and idea to use fortune cookies from sugardoodle. I bought the little bowls at Target and bee stickers at Hobby Lobby. I traced circles for what felt like forever and put it all together with a glue stick. It was a pretty simple craft project to go along with my lesson. If only I could figure out a simple way to get all the girls to actually show up for church.
"fortunate is the young woman who realizes self reliance has less to do with reliance on self and more to do with reliance on God"

homemade almond joy
One of my girls in young women isn't eating candy for a year. She will eat other treats so I made homemade almond joy for my lesson on finding joy. I found this printable on sugardoodle and this recipe on pinterest. I had a hard time dipping them in chocolate so next time I'll probably drizzle the chocolate instead. Definitely not the easy way to do things, but we all know I don't know how to do things the easy way.
